From September 2020, all state-funded schools in England are required to teach first aid as part of health education for all Key Stages. This should include basic first aid skills for common injuries. Primary school pupils are required to learn how to confidently make an emergency call and how to deal with head injuries.
Here at Nine Acres we know that young people’s health has an important place on the curriculum so we have built in additional lessons specifically targetting those vital life saving skills.
We want our children to understand the importance of having a knowledge of First Aid so that we will pave the way for a new generation of life savers.
We want all members of Nine Acres to benefit from developing skills that will build their character and strengthen community resilience.
